DOORBRIM Rain diverters are molded from 1/4 inch strong, durable, ABS plastic.  Mounting is surface mounted with mechanical fasteners through predrilled holes spaced 12 inched apart in a bed of caulking. Optional color matching fasteners for concrete, plaster, stucco, brick or wood siding are available in a complete installation kit including 100% silicone caulk and a carbide drill bit. Custom sizes are available with the use of intermediate structural brackets allowing unlimited continuous widths. Almond (Off White), Lt Gray and LT Beige factory UV protected colors can be ordered. All sizes and colors are "Proudly Made in the USA", in stock and ship next day.

A DOORBRIM electric service rain diverter is great for protecting electric panels and switchgear, EV charging stations, cable boxes, outdoor speakers or any other application where water and moisture are affecting electrical circuits. An electric service rain diverter is also used to waterproof exterior wall penetrations for conduits, pipes and ductwork. Please be aware that all EXTENDED and SHORTER width rain diverters use a center structural bracket (shown below) to achieve various widths. Be sure to verify there are no conflicts with this bracket.

DOORBRIM rain diverters are molded from strong 1/4-inch ABS plastic material. The finish product is durable and able to withstand high winds and harsh environments.

Dimensions

All products are 7 1/2" High and PROJECTION is 7 1/2" from the Wall. STANDARD width is 52" inside to inside. OVERALL width is 54 1/2" including the mounting flange on each side. THICKNESS begins with 1/4" raw material. FINISH THICKNESS varies due to the molding process.

Unlimited custom widths are achieved with the use of intermediate splice brackets

Installation Instructions

Rain diverters can be mounted on concrete, stucco, masonry, brick, wood, vinyl siding or metal surfaces.

Draw a level line above door or window. Using your rain diverter as a template, mark holes, then drill out the holes. Apply caulking to outer flange and screw the rain diverter the to wall with a ratchet and socket. CAUTION: Do not over tighten.

If your rain diverter has a splice bracket, install the bracket first leaving a little play. Caulk the rain diverter flanges and insert into the bracket. Tighten all fasteners.

Warranty

DOORBRIM rain diverters are warranted for 1 year against manufacturer defects. Does not include cracking due to over tightening.

What material is a DOORBRIM rain diverter or drip edge made from and can they be painted?

DOORBRIM rain diverters are molded from strong 1/4-inch ABS plastic material. The finish product is durable and able to withstand high winds and harsh environments. DOORBRIM rain guards come finished with a two-part epoxy containing a UV inhibitor. This factory finish will also serve as an excellent primer. You can repaint with an ordinary can of spray paint to create a beautiful custom finish.

How are rain diverters or rain guards mounted?

Rain diverters are surface mounted above doors, windows or outdoor electrical equipment with optional color matched mechanical fasteners through predrilled holes. Installation above the top trim header is advised to stop any leaks originating from behind the header. The standard width of the rain diverter or rain guard is 52 inches. to accommodate large windows, double doors and overhead garage doors etc.

Are custom sizes available for the rain diverter?

Yes, custom width sizes are available with the use of intermediate structural splice brackets to accommodate large windows, double doors, overhead garage doors, electric services panels or any other outdoor electrical equipment exposed to inclement weather. All products project 7 1/2 inches from the structure. Factory UV protected colors are available in ALMOND (off-white) BEIGE and GRAY.

What is included in the complete installation kit?

The complete installation kit includes 100% silicone clear caulking, matching fasteners for wood, concrete, stucco, brick and siding. Also included is a carbide drill bit for the fasteners.

There's a small gutter in the front that funnel rain water to the two sides then out and away from your structure. In addition to shield in your door window or electrical equipment, this prevents leaks and drips.
